    SUMMARY: The Supply Chain & Logistics Director oversees the entire Supply Chain & Logistics operations within assigned locations and business units. Develops functional strategies and specific goals to support overall strategic plan and financial objectives. Ensures internal and external customer and compliance requirements are met. This position is also responsible for the overall financial health and performance of the supply chain operation.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Oversees Supply Chain & Logistics operations, which may include Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse Stores, Tooling, Purchasing, Contracts, and Account Services for locations within the assigned region or business unit (B/U).

    + Manages Inventory planning and forecasting.

    + Ensures just in time delivery of commodities and supporting materials to the aircraft or maintenance cell.

    + Assists senior leadership with the development and implementation of reduction strategies around dunnage and obsolescent material.

    + Establishes and evaluates Logistics optimization and premium freight reduction.

    + Ensures compliance with Hazardous Materials regulations.

    + Develops and promotes a customer service culture.

    + Develops strategic relationships with key suppliers, including appraisal of capability, capacity, and risk.

    + Oversees third party supplier and onsite vendor contracts.

    + Directs Supplier Performance and Vertical Integration strategies.

    + Implements and manages 5S principles, daily KPI metrics, and Factory Visuals relating to supply chain commodities.

    + Monitors Supply Chain department performance KPI’s.

    + Assists senior leadership with the development and implementation of revenue growth strategies.

    + Manages budget and Profit and Loss of entire supply chain responsibility and initiates corrective strategies as needed.

    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    + Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

    + Excellent negotiation skills.

    + Strong interpersonal and management skills.

    + Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve goals.

    + Ability to establish goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.

    + Strong project management and analytical skills.

    + Ability to effectively manage numerous customer requirements concurrently.

    + Ability to represent ATS to customers in a professional manner.

    + Strong understanding of FAA regulatory requirements.

    + Good skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    + Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

    + Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a Supply Chain environment, or an equivalent combination of related experience and education.

    + Minimum three (3) years of management experience preferred.

    PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit, stand and walk; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
