    JOB DESCRIPTION

    This position may be eligible for a hybrid work environment (combination of remote work and in-office reporting), with the coordination and approval of the appropriate supervisor. The position is located in and will report out of Columbus, OH.

     

    Position Title: Administrative Coordinator (Member Service & Public Affairs)

     

    Reports To: SVP Member Services, Environmental Affairs & Policy and SVP Public Affairs

     

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

     

    Basic Functions: This position facilitates the efficient operation of administrative duties of multiple department(s) by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks, both regularly assigned and on an as needed basis.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Performs administrative support to Member Services, Legislative, and Communications.

    2. Works closely with department leadership to provide administrative support including, but not limited to: scheduling meetings, preparation of communications/documents, coordination of weekly and monthly reports, assist with expense reports, and conducting meetings, as well as the taking and distribution of meeting minutes.

    3. Serves as primary Oracle power user for departments, and provides support when needed.

    4. Provides effective development, formatting, proofing, editing, and tracking of documents for consistency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

    5. Responsible for supporting and maintaining the Member contact database, email groups and associated software.

    6. Fulfill coordination and administrative support needs including, but not limited to: assembles, and distributes reports; proofreads; mass mailings; develops presentations; supports event planning; conducts research, compiles and summarizes data; composes routine correspondence for signature; tracks departmental schedules; and prepares correspondence with internal departments and AMP membership.

    7. Organizes ordering and manages inventory for collateral items, supplies and AMP logo items.

    8. Provides administrative support to Ohio Municipal Electric Association (OMEA).

    9. Works collaboratively to complete or assist with special projects/assignments and provides internal and external customer service excellence.

    10. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Qualifications:

    1. A four (4) year degree in business, communications, marketing or related fields preferred.

    2. Strong written and oral communications skills required.

    3. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite products especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint for managing and maintaining spreadsheets, records maintenance, word processing and presentations.

    4. Must be a self-starter, customer focused and have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

    5. Must be highly accurate and detail oriented and have excellent project management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

    6. Knowledge and experience with Oracle database system preferred.

    7. Knowledge and experience with Sharepoint platform, Constant Contact and Salesforce a plus.

    8. Knowledge of the electric utility industry preferred.
