Description
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Yard Helper to join our team. This physically demanding role is essential to the daily operation of our equipment rental yard. The ideal candidate will assist with servicing rental and low-maintenance equipment, maintaining yard and shop facilities, and supporting delivery and installation efforts. This position offers excellent benefits and opportunities for training and advancement in the equipment rental industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Follow all safety protocols and safety procedures with company policies.
+ Assist with basic service and inspection of rental and low-maintenance equipment.
+ Wash and clean equipment returned from job sites.
+ Roll, inspect, and service gas hoses, ducting, and other bulk items used in heating and environmental control systems.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and shop environment.
+ Perform general upkeep tasks such as sweeping, organizing inventory, and disposing of waste materials.
+ Help load and unload equipment for same-day or next-day deliveries.
+ Ensure all equipment is properly secured and documented for transport.
+ Assist in the installation and teardown of heaters and other equipment at job sites.
+ Support field crews as needed.
+ Performs all other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
+ Commitment to following all safety compliance rules and regulations.
+ Minimum 1 year experience with HVAC
+ Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and working in outdoor conditions.
+ Willingness to work overtime and after hours as needed
+ Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
+ Previous yard, warehouse, or equipment rental experience is a plus.
+ Forklift certification or mechanical aptitude is an asset.
