Job Overview:

The Cardiac Arrhythmia Tech prepares and educates patients on telemetry transmitters, telemetry monitoring and electrocardiograms. Uses and understands the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care. Assists new employees in the policy and procedures of the department.

Qualifications:

Required:

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ BLS through the American Heart Association

+ Successful completion of all orientation programs

Preferred

+ Successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia course

Scheduling Requirements:

+ Full-Time

+ 36 hours per week (7pm-7:30am)

+ Every other weekend required

+ Holiday requirements

+ Night Shift

Essential Functions:

+ Prepares and educates patients on telemetry transmitter, telemetry monitoring and electrocardiograms.

+ Uses and understands the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care.

+ Assists new employees in the policy and procedures of the department.

+ Supports the philosophy, objectives, mission and vision of Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus

+ Performs all other duties as assigned
