    EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 70,000 people in need through 120 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks a Billing Coordinator/Office Manager to work full time for its New Path Treatment Center program.

     

    + Wage: $28 per hour

    + Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm

    + Location: 175 Fulton Ave, Suite 403 in Hempstead NY

    Primary Purpose of Job:

    The Billing Coordinator/Office Manager will manage the front desk and be the first point of contact for EAC New Path Treatment Center. This role will be responsible for inputting billing claims data, problem solving billing issues, supply ordering and overall office management.

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    + Responsible for verifying Medicaid and Managed Care insurance through ePaces and commercial plan websites at the time of the initial screening for each client.

    + Contact commercial plans for precertification, prior authorization, and follow-up recertification for new and existing clients.

    + Input billing claims data into billing system daily.

    + Maintain consistent contact with any and all billing vendors to ensure billing issues are addressed in a timely manner.

    + Collect co-payments and self-pay fees for treatment services and track payment history.

    + Monitor claim status, research denials, and review all claim issues daily to follow up on all issues within 48 hours.

    + Submit weekly reports for outstanding co-payment/self-pay balances to the Program Director

    + Conduct monthly insurance reverification checks for all active clients.

    + Responsible for checking AWARDS for accurate billing and timely submission for electronic claims submissions.

    + Communicate with clients and billing vendor to proactively reduce denials or delayed payment for services.

    + Answer, screen, and forward phone calls and respond to all voicemails.

    + Pre-screen and check-in clients for all treatment services.

    + Receive clients, visitors, and vendors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately.

    + Maintain a professional demeanor and a courteous and welcoming environment.

    + Protect client health information and adhere to state and federal confidentiality mandates.

    + Enter OASAS client data information on a weekly basis.

    + Assist in managing appointments with the psychiatrist and nurse practitioner.

    + Order and maintain inventory of office supplies and submit purchase order requisitions.

    + Compile and maintain list of referral sources and send monthly emails with referral forms, program information, and contact information.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

    + Associate’s degree in business administration or related field required.

    + Prior office/billing experience required.

    + Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.

    + Must have a professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills

    + Detail oriented and time management skills required.
