    Job Title: Hospitality Office AssociateDepartment: Food & Nutrition Location: Unity Hospital - 1555 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14626 Schedule: Schedules available are 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM with rotating weekends or 4:00 PM to 7:45 PM SUMMARY: Responsible for the functions of the diet office and hospitality services which includes the organization and input of patient/resident menus to ensure accuracy of diet orders, timeliness of meal delivery and facilitates interdepartmental coordination.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Serves as a liaison between Food and Nutrition Services and other departments, ensuring accurate communication regarding patient meals, diets, and nutritional needs.

    + Delivers meals and nourishments in accordance with patient identification protocols and supports all aspects of meal service operations.

    + Applies knowledge of dietary guidelines, including fluid restrictions, tube feedings, and special diet standards, to ensure accurate meal preparation and service.

    + Accurately transfers patient dietary information—including allergies and diet orders—into menu software to generate appropriate meal selections and reports.

    + Communicates effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff to address dietary concerns and uphold high standards of customer service and professionalism.

    + Maintains clean, safe, and organized work areas, records refrigeration temperatures, answers calls, manages supplies, and ensures compliance with facility protocols.

    + Attends all required meetings and in-service trainings, supports software backup procedures, and performs additional department duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Knowledge of food safety and sanitation preferred.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

    The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
