    The Communication Specialist is responsible for creating and implementing employee communication content that generates excitement, drives engagement, aligns teams and individuals, and helps shape company culture. This role involves the end-to-end creation and deployment of internal communications supporting business and culture initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    + Serve as the point person for all business-related communication requests, ensuring adherence to service level agreements.

    + Manage content calendar, determine appropriate platforms, and schedule timing.

    + Collaborate with creative and IT teams to keep PowerHub updated with current and relevant content.

    + Routinely review and recommend improvements to the site.

    + Assist in coordination, content planning, and execution of live meetings and events, such as the All Hands Meeting.

    + Develop messaging and communications to support business and culture initiatives.

    + Provide support for external communications and events.

    + Analyze effectiveness of marketing programs by monitoring key analytics, reporting to the team, and offering recommendations for improvements.

    + Build cross-functional relationships with brand and marketing peers to evaluate existing strategy and identify ways to enhance corporate messages.

    + Manage information security as part of normal business management, ensuring compliance with Global ISM regulations.

    + Collect, analyze, report, and present data as information.

    + Prepare reports, charts, graphs, and other statistical information.

    + Interpret and comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations.

    + Initiate, recommend, and provide solutions through designated communication channels.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong writing skills, ideally with newsroom or corporate experience.

    + Proficiency in marketing communications and digital marketing.

    + Demonstrated experience in internal communications within a manufacturing environment.

    + Skill in building rapport and partnership at all organizational levels.

    + Experience in developing communications strategies and programs.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR, Business, or a related field with two years of related experience; or five years of related experience.

    + Creative problem-solving skills and strong cross-functional partnership abilities.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Work Environment

    Work hours are 9-5 with flexibility to be available outside business hours for events. The assignment length is three months, with the possibility for extension based on performance and business need. The team structure includes a Communication Manager, Communication Specialist, and Communication Coordinator.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $36.00/hr.
