    Job Title: Assistant Controller

     

    Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite

    Overview:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced **Assistant Controller** to join our finance team. This critical role is responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX, and supporting the Finance Leader with financial reporting, cost control, and operational efficiency initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for process improvement in a dynamic business environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Oversee the organization and maintenance of the general ledger, general and standard journals, and all subsidiary ledgers to ensure accurate financial reporting.

    + Assist the Finance Leader with monthly reporting, cost control measures, safeguarding assets, and meeting all close and reporting deadlines.

    + Develop and monitor monthly controllable expense analyses to support cost-reduction strategies.

    + Support physical inventory counts and cycle counting initiatives.

    + Coordinate and manage the monthly account reconciliation process.

    + Handle accounting for Property, Plant, Equipment, and Tooling.

    + Assist with internal and external SOX 404 audits and ensure ongoing compliance with corporate financial controls.

    + Process scrap transactions and reconcile intercompany accounts.

    + Coordinate accounts payable disbursements processed through the Shared Services team.

    + Identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to drive financial and operational efficiency.

    + Maintain and update standard and actual cost systems in compliance with corporate accounting policies.

    + Promote financial acumen throughout the organization to support sound, data-driven decision-making.

    Qualifications:

    + 3–5 years of progressive accounting or audit experience, with a proven track record of increasing responsibility.

    + Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX requirements.

    + High level of integrity, analytical capability, and attention to detail.

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with ERP and cost accounting systems is a plus.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or advanced degree preferred.

    Compensation & Benefits

    + Salary Range - $110,000-120,000

    **Pay Details:** $110,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year
