    Cooks are responsible for preparing and serving meals for residents and staff. In addition, this position maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary condition in the kitchen and dining areas. Also performs regular preventative maintenance on kitchen and dining area equipment.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Understand banquet serving and prep.

    + Basic understands of cooking in large volume.

    + The ability to read and follow a receipt.

    + Organize, label and date of all dry storage, coolers, and freezer areas.

    + Continuously inspects kitchen and dining areas for safety hazards and takes corrective measures immediately as needed, or reports needed repairs to facilities.

    + Cleaning of kitchen and dining area to maintain healthy and sanitary environment.

    Qualifications:

    + 1-2 years’ experience as a cook/ line cook or banquet cook.

    + Possess professional food handler’s card.

    + Must be able to fluently read, write and communicate in English.

    + Great customer service skills.

    + Ability to work well with a diverse population.

    + Lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds.

    + Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, reach, kneel, stand, stoop, crouch, climb and squat. Reach and grasp objects (including above head and below waistline).

    + Comfortably physically able to perform all aspects of the job.

    **Pay Details:** $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
