**Shift:** Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

**Pay Rate:** $ 42.56/hour

We are seeking a **Business Control Specialist – Risk Lead** to join our Global Markets Operations (GMO) Risk team. This role is a critical first line of defense position responsible for proactively identifying, validating, prioritizing, and mitigating operational risks across GMO. The Risk Lead will partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen the control environment, enhance risk culture, and ensure alignment with the enterprise Risk Framework.

Key Responsibilities:

+ **Operational Risk Management:**

+ Document and present reportable/non-reportable operational issues and events.

+ Monitor issue/event lifecycle to ensure timely resolution and sustainable closure.

+ Ensure adherence to critical deadlines for risk identification, escalation, and remediation.

+ **Stakeholder Engagement:**

+ Collaborate with GMO teams to provide guidance on risk and control issues.

+ Facilitate discussions and analysis leveraging the bank’s risk framework.

+ Support internal audits and reviews with Internal Audit and Global Compliance.

+ **LOB Coverage:**

+ Provide risk oversight across GMO Operations including:

+ Exchange Traded Derivatives

+ Collateral and Relationship Management Operations

+ Global Markets Shared Operations

+ **Ad Hoc Support:**

+ Respond to global OR&C requests and initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

+ **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field.

+ **Experience:**

+ Minimum 5 years in Global Markets Operations.

+ Experience in Operational Risk, Compliance, Audit, or Control functions.

+ Proven track record managing risk items within a line of business.

+ **Technical & Professional Skills:**

+ Strong understanding of the bank’s risk framework and its application to operational processes.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for executive-level reporting.

+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

+ Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

+ Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a control-focused mindset.

+ Ability to work independently and challenge the status quo.

+ Collaborative approach to partnering with internal teams and stakeholders.

**Pay Details:** $42.56 per hour
