_We are looking for you to join our team as a_ **_Principal Electronics Engineer_** _based out of_ **_Rolling Meadows, IL._**
_The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing Engineering team._
_What you get to do:_
_Researches, designs, develops, orders, tests, maintains, and identifies improvements / corrective actions for a variety of electronic equipment, electronic and optical systems, including Lasers, Infrared sensors, Fiber Optics, along with an assortment of test equipment and associated systems._
+ _Troubleshoot production hardware to determine the root cause of failures and document and identify corrective actions_
+ _Work with suppliers to resolve technical hardware issues_
+ _Support production floor operators and test technicians in a timely fashion_
+ _Optimize processes to reduce cost and increase throughput_
+ _Maintain processes and procedures following ISO standards_
+ _Data mine, create, and analyze metrics to target cost improvements_
+ _Support hardware integration and test_
+ _Create engineering documentation (change notices, parts lists, bills of materials, test reports, and test procedures)_
+ _Supporting transition technologies from design to production_
+ _Present complex technical concepts to non-technical personnel_
+ _Demonstrated organizational skills_
+ _Proficient in MS Office_
_Basic Qualifications for Principal Electronics Engineer_** **_:_
+ _Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 5 years of related work experience. 3 Years with Master's; 1 Year with PhD with related work experience._
+ _Experience in programming embedded software using: C and Object-Oriented C++_
+ _Experience in Circuit analysis_
+ _Experience troubleshooting systems and hardware_
+ _Experience with networking and troubleshooting test stations and computers_
+ _Experience with setting up test stations_
+ _The ability to obtain and maintain security clearance_
+ _U.S Citizen_
**_Preferred Qualifications for Principal Electronics Engineer_** _:_
+ _Experience with digital electronics design and/or analysis_
+ _Experience using National Instruments LabWindows/CVI or LabVIEW_
+ _Experience in using MATLAB and Simulink_
+ _Experience with correlation studies_
+ _Experience with optical systems_
+ _Experience with fiber optics and/or laser test equipment_
+ _Experience working in a manufacturing environment_
_MANUMS_
Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
