    Job Title: Technical ArtistJob Description

     

    This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive 3D asset pipelines for a variety of elements including props, buildings, terrains, vegetation, and entire scenes. The position also includes managing large and diverse 3D asset libraries and their supporting infrastructure efficiently. You will build custom tools and Python scripts to automate tasks, resolve workflow bottlenecks, and maintain asset quality standards. Collaboration with simulation engineers is essential to ensure seamless physics and visualization workflows. Additionally, you will partner with both internal and external art teams to define best practices for modeling, texturing, shading, and lighting, while mentoring junior team members. Innovation and research into procedural generation and Gen-AI techniques to scale asset production efficiently are also key components of this role.

    Responsibilities

    + Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end 3D asset pipelines for various elements such as props, buildings, terrains, vegetation, and full scenes.

    + Organize and optimize large, diverse 3D asset libraries and their supporting infrastructure.

    + Build custom tools and Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks and resolve workflow bottlenecks.

    + Collaborate with simulation engineers to import, configure, and validate assets in Omniverse, ensuring seamless physics and visualization workflows.

    + Partner with internal art teams and external vendors to define best practices for modeling, texturing, shading, and lighting.

    + Mentor and guide junior team members.

    + Conduct research on procedural generation and Gen-AI techniques to efficiently scale asset production.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining 3D asset pipelines in games, film, or simulation.

    + Proficiency in Python and practical experience with DCC APIs such as Blender.

    + Hands-on familiarity with interactive engines such as Unreal Engine.

    + Proficiency in 3D modeling, UV mapping, texturing, material setup, and lighting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Prior work with game engines such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or Godot.

    + Experience with procedural generation using Houdini or Blender Geometry Nodes.

    + Experience in real-time graphics programming and shader development (HLSL, GLSL, WebGL).

    + AWS cloud expertise for storage, compute, and CI/CD of asset pipelines.

    + Basic web-development skills (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) for internal tool UIs.

    Work Environment

    This position requires working 5 days a week in the office. You will have the opportunity to work with new technology advancements, contributing to projects that involve cutting-edge innovations.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.
