    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule, ensuring efficient use of equipment, labor, and materials based on customer orders and forecasts.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule based on customer orders, forecasts, and production capacity.

    + Create detailed production schedules to maximize efficient use of equipment, labor, and materials.

    + Manage and report on procurement activities for raw materials, components, subcontracted services, and operational supplies.

    + Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate terms, and maintain relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met.

    + Monitor inventory levels and proactively address material shortages or excesses.

    + Analyze demand trends and adjust plans to meet changing customer requirements.

    + Review and approve purchase orders, maintaining accurate records in the ERP system.

    + Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to align planning and purchasing with business goals.

    + Resolve issues related to material availability, quality discrepancies, and delivery delays.

    + Provide updates and reports on scheduling, procurement status, and supply chain risks.

    + Support continuous improvement efforts focused on operational efficiency and cost reduction.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum 8+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, and procurement in a manufacturing environment.

    + Strong understanding of Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and purchasing processes.

    + Proficiency in ERP systems for planning, scheduling, and purchasing activities.

    + Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments with shifting priorities.

    + Ability to review purchase contracts and terms and conditions for compliance and risk management.

    + Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

    + Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments and with external suppliers.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain.

    + 5+ years experience buying/planning for industrial manufacturing company.

    + New Product Implementation and high technical knowledge of raw material processing.

    + Experience in Engineering, supplier quality, supplier performance, Supply chain, Planning, Project engineering.

    + Proficiency in MRP and ERP systems.

    + Project management skills.

    The role operates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, requiring adaptability to shifting priorities and a hands-on approach. The position demands technical proficiency and proactive problem-solving to ensure operational excellence. Collaboration with various departments and suppliers is crucial for meeting business goals and maintaining a seamless supply chain.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
