Job Title: Medical Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join a dynamic team in a busy OB/GYN or women's health office. This role requires an individual with experience in a medical office setting and who is willing to achieve CMA/RMA certification within six months. The successful candidate will assist physicians with patient interactions, including rooming patients, taking vitals, and managing patient communications.

Responsibilities

+ Assist physicians with all patient interactions.

+ Room patients and take vital signs.

+ Communicate with patients regarding test and lab results.

+ Contact pharmacies for medication inquiries and refills.

+ Schedule appointments and manage patient records using Electronic Medical Records.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a medical office environment.

+ Proficiency with Medical Assistant duties and responsibilities.

+ Experience with call centers and appointment scheduling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or equivalent required.

+ Experience in Women's Health or OB/GYN settings is preferred.

+ Willingness to obtain CMA/RMA certification within six months.

Work Environment

The position is based in West Hartford, working in a busy and high-volume women's health office. The work schedule is 8 AM to 5 PM, with a late day on Wednesdays until 7:30 PM.

The dress code requires scrubs, closed-toed shoes, and a professional appearance with no piercings. This role offers potential for growth within a vast network of over 85-90 offices across Connecticut and opportunities for expansion in states like Texas and California. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
