    Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Call Center

    Job Description

    We are seeking dedicated Registered Pharmacy Technicians to join our call center team. The role involves handling a high volume of inbound phone calls and performing duties related to the receipt, review, and verification of patients’ prescriptions. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the prescription process while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage a high volume of inbound phone calls in the call center.

    + Receive, review, and verify patients’ prescriptions with precision.

    + Prepare and scan documents efficiently.

    + Verify HIPAA information and maintain patient confidentiality.

    + Engage in active listening with callers, confirming or clarifying information.

    + Diffuse situations with upset patients or providers as needed.

    + Work closely with pharmacists and pharmacy teams to meet patient and provider needs promptly.

    + Coordinate with call center Hub program(s) where applicable.

    + Enter prescription orders into the pharmacy processing system accurately.

    + Coordinate orders based on urgency and maintain professionalism.

    + Efficiently input data into the pharmacy processing system.

    + Prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines.

    + Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

    Essential Skills

    + Registered Pharmacy Technician license with the Florida Board of Pharmacy.

    + 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience.

    + Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Excellent customer service skills.

    + Knowledge of prescriptions, dosing, and dosage.

    + Proficiency in data entry.

    + Ability to multitask and handle multiple requests simultaneously.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + Experience with non-commercial pharmacy settings.

    + Strong time management and organizational skills.

    + Adaptability and flexibility in a high-paced environment.

    + Efficient typing skills.

    + Proficiency in using email programs and instant messaging communications.

    Work Environment

    This position is onsite in Lake Mary, FL. Technicians will be provided with necessary equipment such as a laptop and headset. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with shifts falling between 8am-8pm EST. The hours of operation range from 7am-10pm and may change according to business needs. The schedule typically involves a closing shift from 11:30am-8pm, with potential weekend shifts from 6am-2pm. Lunch is typically 30 minutes with two 15-minute breaks, scheduled as per company policy. The environment requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
