    Water/Wastewater Engineer

     

    Type: Full-Time, Permanent

     

    Salary Range: $105,000 – $150,000 annually (based on experience and licensure)

Join a nationally recognized engineering team as a Water/Wastewater Engineer, where you’ll play a key role in the planning, design, and construction of municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities. This is a mid-level opportunity ideal for engineers ready to lead design efforts, collaborate cross-functionally, and grow into design management roles.

    What You’ll Do

    + Lead and support the design of water and wastewater treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, and distribution systems

    + Prepare engineering reports, technical memoranda, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates

    + Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, electrical, HVAC, and controls engineers

    + Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling

    + Conduct site visits to ensure design alignment with field conditions and client expectations

    + Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with drafters and technicians

    + Engage in proposal development and support client presentations

    + Apply hydraulic modeling and design software to optimize system performance

    What You Bring

    + Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master’s preferred)

    + 6–12 years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure projects

    + PE license in California or ability to obtain within 6 months

    + Strong understanding of treatment processes, hydraulic modeling, and utility permitting

    + Excellent communication and technical writing skills

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work on time and within budget

    + Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design tools

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
