Unit Secretary – ICU Med Surg Department (Full Time / Nights)

Work location: Texas Health Dallas 8200 Walnut Hill Ln. Dallas, TX 75231
Work hours: Full-Time, Nights, 7:00pm - 7:00am, 36 hours weekly, 3 (12) hour shifts.
NICU Department highlights:
*Fast-paced Level III NICU
*Provides care for 22+ weeks
*Supportive leadership supporting opportunities for certification in High-Risk Neonatal Nursing
Here’s What You Need:
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent.
+ 1 year of healthcare experience strongly preferred.
+ Previous Unit Secretary, Patient Care Technician, or Patient Access experience preferred.
+ Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.
What You Will Do:
ORGANIZATIONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Performs all tasks to meet the needs of physicians, staff, patient, and
other customers.
PARTNERSHIP:
Uses Professional Practice Model philosophy to work in partnership with patients, families, physicians, peers and all other disciplines.
WORKPLACE/PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Serves as a patient advocate.
QUALITY AND SAFETY:
Assists in the identification of ineffective and costly processes and takes action to improve them.
