    Job Title: SCADA AnalystJob Description

     

    The SCADA Analyst is responsible for engineering, deploying, and maintaining network and virtual server infrastructure to remotely control and monitor natural gas pipeline facilities. The role includes performing system and equipment deployments and upgrades without disrupting pipeline monitoring and control. Project management functions are also required, including coordinating resources across various departments. The analyst assists in meeting compliance with TSA and PSC regulatory requirements and uses a detailed understanding of device protocols such as Modbus and DNP3, along with the Purdue Model for ICS networks, to maintain securely segmented communication infrastructure.

    Responsibilities

    + Engineer, deploy, and maintain network and virtual server infrastructure for remote control and monitoring of natural gas pipeline facilities.

    + Perform system and equipment deployments and upgrades while ensuring no disruptions to pipeline operations.

    + Manage network and virtual server infrastructure projects, coordinating resources from different departments.

    + Assist in compliance with TSA and PSC regulatory requirements.

    + Architect, deploy, and maintain securely segmented network infrastructure for communications between Critical Cyber Systems.

    + Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify requirements for external projects requiring additions or changes.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, equipment failures, and communication outages within specified time limits.

    + Architect and deploy test environments for software updates and patches.

    + Deploy and manage identity access management systems for controlling access to network devices and applications.

    + Administer, configure, install, and deploy network equipment including firewalls, routers, and switches.

    + Collaborate with vendors to procure equipment and troubleshoot problems.

    + Specify, procure, and manage installation of network and virtual infrastructure components and physical communications media.

    + Develop and maintain firewall policies to meet CISA and TSA-SD2 guidelines.

    + Develop and maintain system documentation including run books, asset inventories, and network diagrams.

    + Serve as a subject matter expert for communications with internal and external stakeholders including TSA and PSC regulatory inspectors.

    + Evaluate equipment lifecycles and develop replacement schedules and cost estimates.

    + Evaluate and deploy new technologies to improve security and reliability.

    + Develop and maintain cyber policies and procedures to meet compliance with TSA and PSC requirements.

    + Perform risk assessments and penetration tests.

    + Collaborate with internal supply chain teams to ensure vendor agreements meet cybersecurity requirements.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.

    + Strong knowledge of networking concepts such as VLANs, network segmentation, and routing.

    + Working knowledge with Cisco applications.

    + Operation Technology Knowledge and expertise, including ICS, VLAN, OSI model, Modbus.

    + CCNA certification.

    + Experience in data center operations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience working on systems within an ICS environment.

    + Troubleshooting networks at all layers of the OSI model.

    + Strong knowledge of the Purdue Model for ICS networks.

    + Experience deploying and configuring network equipment including firewalls, switches, and routers.

    + Experience installing, deploying, and configuring virtual machines, hypervisors, and bare metal servers.

    + Knowledge of process control, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical instrumentation systems.

    + Experience working with federal and state regulatory agencies.

    + Experience installing and programming PLCs/RTUs.

    + Experience with vulnerability and network scanning tools.

    + Strong knowledge of network communications media including fiber and CAT5/6.

    + Ability to write technical documentation and communicate fluently in written and verbal English.

    Work Environment

    The position requires onsite presence five days a week with travel to sites as needed. Candidates must be available to serve on-call on a rotating 24-hour, 7-day-a-week schedule.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/hr.
