    Job Title: Quality Engineer

    Job Description

    This Quality Engineer position requires direct interaction with customers to support and resolve quality issues as they arise. The role involves handling customer reports of defective parts and communicating these issues to the team for resolution. Responsibilities include managing PPAPs, containment strategies, scheduling sorting activities, and writing detailed reports on analysis and corrective actions. The position may require floor inspections to troubleshoot, determine defect causes, and develop resolutions, along with direct communication with customers both in writing and verbally.

    Responsibilities

    + Communicate quality issues reported by customers to the team and assist in resolving them.

    + Manage PPAPs and containment strategies.

    + Schedule sorting activities and write detailed reports on analysis and corrective actions.

    + Conduct floor inspections to troubleshoot and determine causes of defects.

    + Provide resolutions for quality issues and maintain direct customer communication, both written and verbal.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in automotive quality, especially with Ford or other OEM auto quality

    + General working knowledge of automotive or industrial manufacturing processes (AIAG, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, 8D)

    + Experience using an oscilloscope

    Work Environment

    This is a contract position with a focus on long-term employment potential. The work involves electronic control units in a fast-paced, clean room manufacturing environment that is climate-controlled. The facility requires khakis or work pants and polo shirts as dress code, with safety shoes mandatory on the production floor. Shoe covers, smocks, and hairnets are provided as needed. A company-provided laptop is available for work use. Typical working hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential overtime when necessary.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr.
