    Actalent is now hiring a QA Lab Technicians for a food/dairy manufacturing plant in Garland, TX!

    Description:

    The QA Technician is responsible for performing routine testing of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. This role supports the integrity of the production process by conducting chemical and microbiological analyses and monitoring product shelf-life and retention programs. Responsibilites include:

     

    + Raw material samples are pulled from the raw receiving area of milk tankers and submitted for immediate chemical and microbiological analysis

    + Will monitor additional product samples going through shelf-life testing and retention programs.

    + Testing includes: fat, total solids, pH, viscosity, protein, EQA, titratable acidity, peroxide testing, aerobic plate counts, coliform counts, yeast and mold counts, and antibiotic residue testing.

    *Additional testing includes; plant utility water, wastewater, package analysis, and occasional environmental monitoring and special project testing.

    Skills:

    Associates or Bachelors of Science (Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology)

     

    Lab testing experience with raw materials from school or work - MUST be familiar with pH, viscosity and titrations, HPLC, weighing samples

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
