This position requires teaching responsibilities for credit courses within the Digital Media department within the division of Industrial Technologies and Professional Services. Instruction will include both lecture and laboratory activities through face-to-face, hybrid, and internet classes. The instructor will report to the Dean of the School of Industrial Technologies and Legal Studies.

The instructor must possess the ability to:

+ Teach all phases of the Residential Building Design Technology curriculum

+ Additional duties include developing instructional materials

+ Evaluating students’ progress in achieving instructional goals and objectives

+ Provide professional instruction based on approved course syllabus

+ Prepare curriculum for coursework taught

+ Deliver training by lecture, hands on, computer multi-media, online and text

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university in building design plus 10 years industry experience; OR 15 years of industry experience in residential building design.

Knowledge of the following software package: Revit.

The successful candidate must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the courses assigned.

NOTE: APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.

Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university in building design or a closely related field plus 5 years industry experience. Two years of experience in instruction for formalized educational process, preferably in a post-secondary or college institution. Knowledge of the following software packages: Photoshop, and Illustrator. Knowledge of Blackboard and Banner web is desirable.

Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.
