JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads the development and delivery of small business support services for the Georgia Grown Resource Centers, with a focus on rural and agricultural entrepreneurs.
1. Supervises and coordinates with partners to implement technical assistance, training, and resource programs.
2. Manages the center’s budget and oversees performance reporting.
3. Build partnerships with government agencies, universities, nonprofits, and private sector organizations to expand services and outreach.
4. Develops and promotes workshops, networking events, and incubator programs to help businesses grow and access new markets.
5. Oversee the creation of educational and promotional materials that highlight available resources and business success stories.
6. Leads strategic planning to align center operations with state economic development and agricultural marketing goals.
7. Manages vendor contracts and service agreements as needed to support program delivery.
8. Tracks participation, outcomes, and impact metrics to guide continuous improvement and ensure accountability.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred candidates will have experience supporting small businesses, especially in rural or agricultural sectors, with services like business planning, market development, financing, or regulatory guidance.
1. Strong skills in coordinating technical assistance and connecting entrepreneurs with local, state, and federal resources are essential.
2. Experience managing business incubators, accelerators, or similar entrepreneurial programs is highly desirable, including program development, client support, and stakeholder coordination.
3. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to build partnerships with government agencies, universities, nonprofits, and private sector organizations.
4. Experience with outreach, program promotion, and participant engagement is important, along with skills in tracking outcomes and preparing performance reports.
5. Familiarity with Georgia’s agricultural economy and rural business environment is preferred but not required.

Associate degree in marketing or a related field from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of job-related experience; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Marketing Spec 3 (GSP072) or position equivalent.
