Summary of Position
Assists Career Services, Disability Support Services and Success Coaching in providing students with career and personal and professional development, internship and job search services to include resumes, interviewing and workplace etiquette, and support for managing their student experience. Market and promote Career Services, Disability Support Services and Success Coaching; facilitate career and success related workshops and information sessions; assess and report on the job placement, career attainment and hiring trends of CTC graduates, and support the development and implementation of programs that support a student’s academic, personal and career success.
Minimum Required Education
High school diploma or GED required. Associates Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education preferred.
Minimum Required Experience
High school diploma or GED required. Six years wage earning clerical experience or certification / successful completion of relevant trade school (30 college credits) and two years wage earning clerical experience or Associates Degree and one year wage earning clerical experience is required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Extensive computer skills to include: Windows, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Database Management, spreadsheets, desktop graphics, and Internet research and usage.
+ Knowledge and application of web-based programs. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Ability to develop and maintain student files for Career Services, DSS and Success Coaching and maintain job listings both electronically and in hard copy format for Career Services.
+ Ability to develop job leads, assess job skills required for listed jobs, and match them to students’ skills and abilities.
+ Ability to act as a liaison between students, CTC departments and employers, and maintain records and track service usage.
+ Maintain data from several resources and share information with Career Services, Disability Support Services and Success Coaching staff, Student Success and Persistence ( SSP ), and faculty.
+ Assist with resume writing and interviewing skills, direct students to resources and support and prepare and conduct group presentations.

Must be willing to work flexible hours; not just 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Must be available to work some evening and weekends, if necessary. Must be able to travel to off campus locations. Must be a real “people person” and welcome the opportunity to help others.
