    Job Title: Utility Specialist

    Job Description

    The Utility Specialist will perform a variety of tasks related to the servicing and corrective maintenance of water and wastewater systems. This position involves maintaining vehicles, tools, and equipment, and ensuring the completion of key housekeeping and minor maintenance tasks. The role is based in Baton Rouge, LA, and includes tasks such as general cleanup, painting, and minor corrective maintenance at the North and South wastewater facilities. The job involves working with raw or partially treated wastewater and associated treatment systems. The role requires the ability to safely operate and maintain vehicles, equipment, and tools to assist with various maintenance activities.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform general cleanup, painting, and minor corrective maintenance tasks at wastewater facilities.

    + Operate and maintain vehicles, equipment, and tools to load and haul products, dig and refill trenches, and maintain grounds and buildings.

    + Assist other maintenance personnel by carrying or holding materials, supplies, and tools.

    + Maintain accurate records of tasks and operations.

    + Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all individuals at the project site.

    + Complete other duties as required to support maintenance activities.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with general labor and construction tasks.

    + Proficiency in using hand tools for maintenance activities.

    + Ability to perform cleaning tasks effectively.

    + Strong record-keeping skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to operate and maintain vehicles and equipment safely.

    + Capability to dig and refill trenches.

    + Experience in maintaining grounds and buildings.

    Work Environment

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
