• Maintenance Technician Position Overview
Virginia Hospital Laundry, Inc. is seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to perform a full range of preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance functions. Technicians will ensure peak performance of all production and facility equipment while adhering to the organization's policies and safety standards.
• Key Responsibilities
+ Conduct routine maintenance on industrial laundry equipment including washers, dryers, feeders, and folders.
+ Maintain and repair facility infrastructure such as boilers, compressors, heat exchangers, and lighting systems.
+ Diagnose and replace control devices, including switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, and motor starters.
+ Respond promptly to daily maintenance requests to reduce equipment downtime.
+ Collaborate with plant personnel in a respectful and professional manner.
+ Ensure compliance with VHL safety protocols and industry best practices.
+ Stay updated on repair techniques and equipment specifications.
+ Accurately document all maintenance activities.
+ Follow written and verbal instructions; perform additional duties as assigned.

Technical Skills** **Description
Preventative & Predictive MaintenanceAbility to schedule and perform ongoing equipment evaluations and tune-ups
Mechanical and Electrical RepairSkilled in diagnosing and resolving electrical/mechanical faults
Hydraulic and Pneumatic SystemsUnderstanding of fluid power systems and troubleshooting techniques
Industrial Equipment ProficiencyExperience with large-scale washers, dryers, boilers, and heat exchangers
Electrical TroubleshootingFamiliarity with 3-phase 240/480V systems
PLC Programming (Preferred)Experience in logic controls and automation software
• Qualifications
+ Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
+ Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and/or boiler operations
+ Proficient use of power and hand tools
+ Certification in HVAC, Welding, Electrical, Plumbing, or related fields (required for Tech II level)
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
+ Basic math proficiency and time management
+ Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Maintenance Mechanic II$33.57 _(with valid certification)_
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.16 - $33.57/hr.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
