Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician with 3 to 5+ years of experience to join our team in a dynamic and team-oriented manufacturing environment. The role primarily focuses on resolving electrical issues while collaborating with mechanical personnel for comprehensive problem-solving. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our automated systems.

Responsibilities

+ Diagnose and resolve electrical circuit problems using extensive knowledge of schematics.

+ Collaborate with mechanical personnel for joint problem-solving efforts.

+ Work with 3 phase motors, inverters, and servos, including AC and DC control circuit troubleshooting.

+ Understand electronic components such as diodes, resistors, and capacitors.

+ Read industrial electrical drawings and utilize troubleshooting equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and amprobes.

+ Troubleshoot PLCs, preferably Allen-Bradley and Omron, and connect to PLCs for logic troubleshooting.

+ Familiarize with Rockwell PLC products and software for troubleshooting purposes.

+ Possess some programming ability as an added advantage.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 3 years of experience in PLC troubleshooting.

+ Minimum 3 years of experience reading and identifying electrical schematics.

+ Minimum 3 years of experience in maintaining automation equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in PLC programming.

+ Electrical installation experience.

+ Ability to troubleshoot automated robots.

Work Environment

This role operates in a large, automated facility with approximately 30-40 employees. The location has air handling units to maintain air circulation. The position is on the 3rd shift, from 10pm to 6am, Tuesday to Saturday, with optional overtime that pays double after 48 hours. The facility is one of the nicest shops, offering a professional and clean working environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Batavia, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
