    Job Title: Shipping Clerk

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk to join our team at a 3rd party distributor specializing in small electronic parts. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient shipping of products from 10 different companies. This position offers a long-term opportunity with a regular Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional overtime as needed.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare and process parcel shipments using carrier systems such as UPS, FedEx, and USPS.

    + Support basic Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipments, including labeling freight, scheduling pickups, and completing bill of lading (BOL) documentation.

    + Maintain accurate shipping logs and update internal systems.

    + Verify shipment contents and ensure packaging meets carrier standards.

    + Collaborate with warehouse and customer service teams to resolve shipping issues.

    + Monitor carrier performance and report delays or damages.

    + Maintain clean and organized shipping stations.

    + Lift up to 30+ lbs on a consistent basis.

    + Perform palletizing and de-palletizing of orders.

    + Use computer systems to pull items, pack, label, and ship.

    + Utilize RF Scan Gun to pull orders.

    + Receive orders and assist with forklift operations.

    Essential Skills

    + Hands-on experience with parcel shipping and basic knowledge of LTL processes.

    + Familiarity with parcel shipping platforms.

    + Basic understanding of LTL concepts such as freight classes, pallets, and BOLs.

    + Good communication and problem-solving skills.

    + Comfortable using computers and basic shipping software.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Driven and motivated with a great attention to detail.

    + Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a clean warehouse.

    + Comfortable using stand-up forklifts.

    + Ability to lift 30+ lbs consistently.

    + Ability to use computers for printing labels and pulling ticket orders.

    + Experience in order picking and inventory control.

    Work in a dynamic and collaborative environment as part of a team at a 3rd party distributor of small electronic parts. Enjoy a consistent first shift schedule from 7:30 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime. Dress comfortably in a casual attire of t-shirts, jeans, and tennis shoes.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fullerton, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
