    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining and performing preventive maintenance on baking equipment and conveyor systems. You will work with various machines, including mixers, extruders, refrigeration units, proofers, conveyors, boilers, and silos. Your duties will include inspecting, replacing, rotating, and changing parts of industrial machines, connecting power to machines, installing and rewiring motors, and reading blueprints and schematics.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform maintenance and preventive maintenance on baking equipment and conveyor systems.

    + Work with mixers, extruders, refrigeration units, proofers, conveyors, boilers, and silos.

    + Inspect, replace, rotate, and change parts of industrial machines.

    + Connect power to machines and install motors.

    + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

    + Move machinery and equipment using hoists and dollies.

    + Perform welding on steel and aluminum materials.

    + Run conduit and electrical wiring to new industrial machines.

    + Fabricate parts using drill presses and other tools.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance on automated equipment.

    + Experience with assembly equipment, particularly conveyors.

    + Experience building industrial equipment.

    + Experience rebuilding 3-phase motors.

    + Ability to troubleshoot industrial machines and PLCs.

    + Mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to replace motors, gears, and pumps on industrial machinery.

    + Possession of personal hand tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience installing conduit and electrical wiring.

    + Background in food and beverage industry.

    Work Environment

     

    The position is for the 2nd shift, from 5pm to 5am, with work required every other weekend. The facility is a fast-paced, hot environment, typically 10-20 degrees warmer than outside, due to large industrial ovens. The team consists of 4 crews, working 4 days during the week and 1 day every other weekend, with time and a half pay for overtime. The plant has a structured supervisory system, with experienced managers in the food and beverage industry.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Plymouth, Michigan.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $69264.00 - $72384.00/yr.

     

    Direct hire, 401k, medical, dental, vision, 2 weeks pto and sick time

     

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in Plymouth,MI.
