    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing all functions necessary for plant maintenance in support of the overall site operations. This role involves a variety of tasks including preventive, scheduled, and emergency mechanical maintenance with a focus on rotating equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure workplace safety by participating in the Behavior Based Safety Observations and adhering to all site safety policies, guidelines, and procedures.

    + Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures.

    + Provide maintenance for plant utilities equipment and perform rotating equipment repairs including ANSI pump repair, mechanical seal installation/troubleshooting, alignment methods, and bearing fits/tolerances.

    + Perform centrifugal pump repair, mechanical seal installation, and other rotating equipment repairs involving gear reduction drives, agitators, and blowers.

    + Execute additional general maintenance duties such as industrial pipe fitting, heat exchanger repair, and rigging/crane use.

    + Identify, diagnose, and communicate equipment issues.

    + Complete preventative maintenance duties and record critical information appropriately.

    + Maintain outstanding housekeeping and 5S standards.

    + Perform daily activities independently or with a team with minimal supervision while maintaining communication with management.

    + Possess a Boiler Operator’s license.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Electrical troubleshooting

    + Mechanical skills

    + Hydraulics

    + PLC troubleshooting

    + Pump assembly

    + Mechanical skills for PM and repair work on manufacturing equipment including pumps, motors, and packaging equipment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    + Certification from an accredited training institute.

    + Minimum four (4) years of related industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing required, with chemical manufacturing experience preferred.

    + Experience wearing required PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel toe shoes, gloves, and a respirator.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $74651.00 - $87000.00/yr.
