Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper operation of all equipment to maintain production and quality standards under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

+ Achieve work priorities to minimize production downtime.

+ Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment.

+ Identify problem sources by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring and testing equipment.

+ Dismantle devices to remove defective parts, inspect for wear, replace or reinstall new parts, and test equipment for proper operation.

+ Inform production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques to control downtime.

+ Fabricate repair parts using maintenance shop instrumentation and equipment.

+ Maintain inventories of equipment, parts, and supplies, and inform the supervisor of needs.

+ Utilize equipment and supplies efficiently to conserve maintenance resources.

+ Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and personal needs to maintain continuity among work teams.

+ Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

+ Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing results as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 10 years experience in industrial maintenance.

+ Knowledge of hand tools and multi-meter.

+ Mechanical knowledge of pumps, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

+ Ability to troubleshoot single and three-phase power.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs is a plus.

+ Proficiency in troubleshooting, welding, and fabrication.

+ Facilities maintenance experience.

Work Environment

Work in a large manufacturing environment with older machines, extruders, conveyors, and mixers. Safety gear such as steel-toed shoes, ear plugs, and safety glasses are required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70720.00 - $81120.00/yr.
