Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator who is proficient in machine operating, blueprint reading, and has prior manufacturing experience. The candidate will play a crucial role in adjusting machines for quality and quantity, changing machine oils, coolant, and filters, and operating multiple machines simultaneously. This position involves gluing smaller magnets into a larger magnet and slicing the magnets to meet customer specifications. The operator will set up and operate various machine tools to perform general machining, assembly, and hand operations for constructing, altering, and repairing ordinary patterns, tools, fixtures, and equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Adjust machines accordingly for quality and quantity.

+ Change machine oils, coolant, and filters.

+ Run multiple machines at one time.

+ Glue smaller magnets into a larger magnet, then slice the magnets to meet customer specifications.

+ Make ordinary setups and operate various machine tools for general machining, assembly, and hand operations.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled environment with shifts available on second shift. The second shift operates from 2:45 PM to 12:15 AM Monday through Thursday and 2:45 PM to 6:45 PM on Fridays, with potential overtime. Employees may be exposed to industrial oils, toner, coolants, solvents, lubricants, adhesive, and other chemicals, with all safety precautions in place. The environment may have areas with excessive noise.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $23.00/hr.
