Job Title: MIG Welder
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team. The primary focus will be horizontal and vertical MIG welding on a variety of materials, predominantly aluminum, with some steel and stainless steel. The role includes inspecting welds visually and ensuring certifications where required.
Responsibilities
+ Perform horizontal and vertical MIG welding on materials including 90% aluminum, 6% steel, and 3% stainless.
+ Execute welds ranging from 18-gauge to 3/8".
+ Perform TIG welding as needed.
+ Use .360 wire, 4043 wire, 5356 wire, and occasionally .035 wire.
+ Inspect welds using visual methods.
+ Ensure certain welds are certified as required.
+ Work collaboratively with a team of 4-5 other welders during shifts.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ year of welding experience, either from school or on the job.
+ Ability to read welding blueprints and symbols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Welding experience is a plus.
+ Proficiency in blueprint reading, wire feed, sheet metal, and aluminum welding.
+ Experience with MIG, Flux core, stainless steel, and mild steel welding.
+ Skills in grinding and using hand tools.

Work Environment
Join us at a large manufacturing facility established in 1948, dedicated to producing building products. The facility is characterized by a strong team-first culture with significant tenure in the fabrication areas. Each welder operates in their own bay on the manufacturing floor, with all necessary equipment provided except for helmets. This is a no-smoking facility, focusing on production work for building products like access doors, entrance grates, and fire cabinets.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.55 - $23.55/hr.
