Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description
Ensure that employees are adequately trained to maximize efficiency in seafood cuts and production. Regularly monitor cut yields to align with profit objectives while organizing daily and upcoming production tasks. Oversee the preparation of raw materials and cutting tickets to ensure smooth operations. Follow FIFO (first-in, first-out) procedures for seafood storage in the cooler and freezer. Verify product processing aligns with customer specifications, and keep buyers and sales teams informed about quality issues, shrinkage, shortages, and inventory updates. Maintain cleanliness and organization in cooler and processing areas, confirm product weights, and make reasonable product substitutions as needed while communicating changes effectively. Collaborate with the Food Safety Compliance Administrator to adhere to good production practices and meet HACCP, FDA, GMP, and OSHA standards, including daily paperwork checks.
Responsibilities
+ Train employees to optimize seafood cuts and production.
+ Monitor cut yields to meet profit goals.
+ Assign daily and future production tasks.
+ Organize cutting tickets and prep raw materials.
+ Follow FIFO procedures for seafood storage.
+ Ensure products match customer specifications.
+ Inform buyers and sales teams about quality issues.
+ Maintain clean and organized cooler and processing areas.
+ Confirm product weights.
+ Communicate product substitutions effectively.
+ Adhere to HACCP, FDA, GMP, and OSHA standards.
Essential Skills
+ At least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in food production.
+ Proficiency in Excel and Outlook.
+ Familiarity with inventory management software.
+ Strong supervision and management skills.
+ Knowledge of fish species and shipping operations.
+ Experience in weighing, scaling, and cutting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Commitment to high quality standards.
+ Ability to motivate and energize a team.
+ Capability to lift up to 70 lbs occasionally.
+ Comfortable handling cold temperatures in a typical food warehouse environment.
+ Willingness to stand, walk, lift, pull, and push for 6–8 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
