Digital Fixed Arch Manager- Job Overview

The Digital Fixed Arch Manager is responsible for implementing and overseeing a digital fixed arch production lab. This employee will also be charged with leading/training team members and communicating with clinicians on their cases.

Responsibilities

Digital Fixed Arch Manager Responsibilities and Duties

+ Lead the fixed arch digital design process for Advanced Dental Implant Center – define the needs, outline the preferred process, train practice team and lab team to the process and provide oversight/training to ensure process functions

+ Build business case for necessary investments to build new process (e.g., IT investments, personnel, equipment, etc.)

+ Player-coach – in addition to training on the design process, complete fixed arch designs on same-day turnaround and to the standards required by the practice teams

+ Able to closely follow the lab slip instructions to produce quality work by the due date

+ Working knowledge of various scanning systems (IOS vs Desktop)

+ Working knowledge of various digital production systems (3D printing & Milling)

+ Dependable, responsible, and willing to take on needed duties to fulfill the goals of the lab

+ Manage and train digital design team (currently 2 employees) – fully responsible for setting/executing training plans, conducting performance reviews, etc.

Qualifications

Digital Fixed Arch Manager Qualifications

+ Proficient in Exocad design workflows

+ Minimum 3 years of experience as a Dental Technician preferred

+ Knowledge of basic tooth morphology and anatomy

+ Must be able to read and interpret dental prescriptions

+ Must have contouring and finishing skills

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Familiar with dental equipment and materials

+ Ability to work independently with little oversight – set & keep deadlines

+ Take initiative to build and improve processes

Digital Fixed Arch Manager Education

+ High School Diploma

+ Diploma/degree in dental technology (CDT preferred)

Digital Fixed Arch Manager Experience

+ 3+ years of Dental Technician experience preferred

+ Knowledge in designing full arch cases, custom abutments, and crown/substructure with Exocad or 3shape

+ Prior people management or training experience preferred
