Job Title: Bender Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Bender Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves setting up jobs to meet production requirements efficiently, performing daily maintenance and program adjustments, and operating machinery. The operator will monitor machines to adjust feeds, maintain temperatures, and identify issues, while working collaboratively with other departments to ensure quality and conformance to specifications.

Responsibilities

+ Set up jobs to ensure production requirements are met efficiently and effectively.

+ Provide training to other operators.

+ Perform daily maintenance, make program adjustments, and operate machinery.

+ Monitor machines to adjust feed, maintain temperature, and identify issues.

+ Work collaboratively with other departments and use precision instruments to test completed units for defects.

+ Maintain tooling inventory and organization standards.

+ Suggest improvements to the production process and document changes.

+ Perform secondary bench operations, including inspection, de-burring, and cleaning of parts.

+ Communicate machining or quality issues promptly.

+ Demonstrate good attendance, punctuality, and professionalism.

+ Assist around the shop as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 2 years of machine operator experience, including setup and entry-level programming.

+ Proficient in machine operation, production, assembly, and use of hand tools.

+ Ability to troubleshoot and perform mechanical maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in troubleshooting or mechanical maintenance is a plus.

Work Environment

Work within a collaborative manufacturing environment, assisting in the assembly, finishing, and packaging of products. Responsibilities include setting up Y-Axis machines, lathes, mills, and other machinery. Engage in programming at the controller, operating machines, performing repairs, and maintaining a clean work area.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Antioch, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
