    Job Title: Entry Level Line Mechanic

    Job Description

    We are seeking a motivated Entry Level Line Mechanic to join our team in a chemical company environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and grow within the company. You will be trained alongside experienced mechanics to enhance your skills in maintaining and repairing plant equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment.

    + Execute machinery changeovers, making necessary adjustments and setting up machines according to production runs.

    + Repair, troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair filler equipment, conveyors, labelers, printers, and various equipment needed for packaging products in various container sizes.

    Essential Skills

    + Basic knowledge of mechanics and automotive repair.

    + Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

    + Ability to read and understand blueprints.

    + Troubleshooting skills.

    + Understanding of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and pneumatics.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Mechanical aptitude.

    + Great attitude and willingness to learn.

    + Desire to grow with the company.

    Work Environment

     

    Work on the 2nd shift from Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm to 2:30am, in a large facility with a fairly clean environment. The company is committed to maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chicago, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
