Job Title: Solar General Labor

Job Description

Join our team as a Solar General Laborer, where you will play a vital role in supporting the installation of solar energy systems. You will assist with the loading, unloading, and staging of materials and tools, ensuring the seamless installation of racking systems, solar panels, and electrical components. Safety is paramount, and you will adhere to OSHA standards while working at heights on commercial rooftops using fall protection equipment. Your contributions will support electricians and solar technicians, while maintaining clean and organized work areas.

Responsibilities

+ Assist with loading, unloading, and staging of materials and tools at job sites.

+ Support the installation of racking systems, solar panels, and electrical components.

+ Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.

+ Maintain clean and organized work areas.

+ Follow safety protocols and OSHA standards at all times.

+ Work at heights on commercial rooftops using fall protection equipment.

+ Support electricians and solar technicians as needed.

+ Perform general site cleanup and post-installation tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with construction, hand tools, and power tools.

+ Knowledge of solar installations and racking systems.

+ Ability to use mechanical tools and tape measures effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

+ 1+ year of construction or roofing experience preferred (solar experience a plus).

+ Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

+ Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders and rooftops.

+ Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.

+ Must be a team player with a positive attitude.

+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Work Environment

Work outdoors in varying weather conditions from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm. Embrace the challenge of working in the elements while contributing to sustainable energy solutions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Tampa, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
