    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to perform maintenance and troubleshooting tasks in commercial and industrial settings. You will be responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC equipment, diagnosing breakdowns, and making necessary repairs. Utilize your HVAC expertise to maintain medium to large heating and cooling systems and associated control systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform assigned HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting tasks safely in commercial and industrial settings.

    + Conduct preventative maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC equipment as needed.

    + Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and repair equipment and associated components.

    + Service, diagnose, and troubleshoot various types of split systems, packaged rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, pneumatic, electrical control systems, and other mechanical equipment.

    + Complete required electronic documentation daily on a handheld device.

    + Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks within an allotted time frame.

    + Operate company vehicle to complete service calls in a specified territory.

    + Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + 5 or more years of experience repairing and troubleshooting commercial HVAC/R equipment.

    + EPA universal certification.

    + Experience with RTU, air handlers, split systems, chilled water or boiler systems preferred.

    + Ability to pass MVR check.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + OSHA 10 certification preferred.

    + Experience maintaining boilers - 100 ton units.

    + Knowledge of HVAC controls, preventative maintenance, and tools.

    + Refrigeration license and Journeyman HVAC skills.

    Work Environment

     

    Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, with potential for 50-60 hours during busy summer months. Some weeks may require four 10-hour days. Service industrial and commercial properties, often on roofs, and be open to various climates.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
