Job Title: Grinder mill operator

Pay Rate: $21-22/hr

Shift: 1st and 2nd shift open

These are long term shop positions with full benefits

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Grinder/Shop Laborer who will be responsible for operating manual surface grinders and manual milling machines. The role involves grinding and finishing metal parts to specified dimensions and surface finishes.

Responsibilities

+ Operate manual surface grinders and manual milling machines to grind and finish metal parts.

+ Set up grinding and milling operations, selecting appropriate wheels, cutters, and speeds.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and job layouts to determine material requirements and setup procedures.

+ Inspect workpieces using precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.

+ Maintain proper documentation of work completed and quality checks.

+ Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and surface finish.

+ Perform routine maintenance on machines and ensure the work area is kept clean and organized.

+ Follow all shop safety procedures and ensure safe handling of tools and materials.

+ Work independently or with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to hire position based out of Montebello, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
