    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer to join our team and contribute to various physical tasks and machinery operations while adhering to site health and safety regulations. This role involves versatile responsibilities and tasks, often under diverse weather conditions and factory temperatures.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist with hands-on physical labor and operation of machinery.

    + Follow all site health and safety regulations.

    + Heavy lifting and working in confined spaces, tall heights, and various weather conditions may be required.

    + Complete a wide variety of tasks and may be assigned to a specific job after the training period.

    + Cover different positions if necessary.

    + Shovel sand, pulp, beets, etc., and transport materials using a wheelbarrow.

    + Perform cleaning activities using hot water or pressure washers.

    + Climb stairs and ladders and work on catwalks around equipment.

    + Bend, stoop, and twist to reach areas for cleaning and shoveling.

    + Walk for extended periods.

    + Operate hand or power tools.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in general labor, production, and machine operation.

    + Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently or collaboratively.

    + Capability to lift or carry items up to 50 lbs repetitively.

    + Knowledge of proper personal protective equipment and exposure to various chemicals.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Attention to detail and ability to complete good manufacturing practice paperwork.

    Work Environment

     

    This is a seasonal position typically running from August through May, working one of four shifts: 1st (7am-3pm), 2nd (3pm-11pm), 3rd (11pm-7am), or Swing. Employees work three 40-hour weeks and one 48-hour week per month with additional overtime as required. After 30 days, employees become part of a union. On holidays, employees continue their regular schedule, receiving pay for the day if it's a scheduled workday.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Sebewaing, Michigan.

     

    This is a Direct Hire position. You will be on the Company payroll as their employee. This is NOT a contract or temporary position

     

    Pay Rate= $19.57/hr

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $40705.00 - $40705.00/yr.
