Job Duties and Responsibilities
EchoStar** has an exciting opportunity for a **Trade Compliance Administrator** in our **Hughes Network Systems** division. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD. The Trade Compliance Specialist will administer the Company’s trade compliance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable U.S. import and export regulations, including International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions regulations, various import tariff programs, and other applicable regulations **.** This position will be located at our headquarters in **Germantown, MD.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Administering the Company’s entity screening, deemed export and visitor processes;
+ Reviewing and approving exports and imports of goods and providing support to Shipping, Logistics and Program Managers in the international movement of goods;
+ Supporting the Company’s export licensing and authorization activities, e.g., application preparation and processing and license maintenance;
+ Maintaining export/import files and records in accordance with applicable U.S. Government regulations and Company policies; and
+ Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ 2-4 years’ experience, preferably in the field of trade compliance, including U.S. government regulatory programs, e.g., ITAR, EAR, OFAC sanctions, Census FTS regulations and Customs requirements.
+ Must be a U.S. Person (e.g., U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, U.S. National or a protected individual under 8 U.S.C 1324b(a)(3)) as position requires access to U.S. export restricted materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with online government applications, e.g., D-Trade, SNAP-R, and ACE, and familiarity with automated trade compliance systems, e.g., SAP GTS, is a plus.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of businesspeople.
+ Attention to detail, strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.Display a high degree of integrity, personal judgment and confidentiality.
+ Experience in performing third party vetting and due diligence (e.g., restricted party screening) and administering regulatory-based business processes and procedures.
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $67,000.00/Year - $84,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
