Job Duties and Responsibilities

**EchoStar** has an exciting opportunity for an **Electrician** in our **Hughes Network Systems** division. This position will be located at our office in **North Las Vegas** .

Key Responsibilities:

+ Troubleshoot and test electrical systems including defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using test instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, and voltmeter.

+ Complete daily maintenance checks and work assignments, general duties include installation of motors, transformer, lighting fixtures, cable tray and complete circuits according to diagram specifications and Blue Prints.

+ Complete work as required in a craftsmen like manner in conformance with requirements of local building and NEC codes as well as company specifications

+ Additional duties may include general building maintenance.

+ Typical Shift work Monday – Friday and may require some nights, weekends, and Holidays.

+ Required on call rotation support.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

+ Current Journeyman electrical license.

+ 2 years Commercial and/or industrial experience

Skills and Qualifications:

+ Excellent conduit bending skills.

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence using computer

+ Ability work independently and apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

Essential Job Duties:

+ Must be able to lift 50 pounds

+ Must be able to sit, stand, crawl, and climb ladders for extended periods.

+ Must be able to work in all-weather environments, extreme heat, extreme cold, snow, rain noise, hazards and atmospheric conditions (fumes, odor, dust, mist or poor ventilations) indoors, and outdoors

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $51,000.00/Year - $73,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
