    Job Duties and Responsibilities

     

    Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage security-centric infrastructure components such as IPS, IDS, DLP, AV and various scanning tools

    + Identify, track and help remediate vulnerabilities and other security concerns

    + Review and provide system security requirements/guidance on new initiatives, applications, systems and services

    + Participate in incident response activities

     

    Skills, Experience and Requirements

    Education and Experience:

    + 2+ years of relevant professional system security engineering or administration experience, with significant exposure to a variety of technologies and domains

    + 2+ years of advanced working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems

    + Experience with firewall change

    + Experience writing standard operating procedures, system requirements, and other technical documents

    + Experience centrally monitoring systems for alerts and incident management functions; preferable with Amazon CloudWatch

    + Scripting language experience (Python, NodeJs, etc.), Strong working knowledge of automation tools such as (Puppet, Jenkins, and Chef)

    + Bachelors degree required (technical bachelor degree is preferred)

    Skills and Qualifications:

    + Security: Intrusion detection/prevention, DLP, CASB, SSL decryption, application security (Palo Alto, F5 SaaS, Zscaler, Okta, BeyondTrust)

    + Data Protection: Database security (Imperva), encryption (Thales, CipherTrust, PGP, Gemalto, Vormetric), PKI

    + Network: Proxies, firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point), SIEM, NGFW, UEBA

    + Cloud: Migration (AWS, Google, Microsoft), design (private/public, virtualization, distributed systems, load balancing, security)

    + Tools: Log management (Palo Alto XSIAM, Splunk, Logz.io), project tools (ServiceNow, MS Project, Jira)

    + Automation: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Python

    + Communication: Strong written and verbal skills, effective collaboration across levels

    + Certifications: CISSP, GIAC, Security+, AWS, Zscaler, Palo Alto, F5 SaaS

    Salary Ranges

     

    Compensation: $72,400.00/Year - $118,900.00/Year

    The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
