Requirements

Summary:

Support Revere’s safety management system using a BMT (behavioral management techniques) approach. Create a strong presence on the shop floor representing EHS leadership. Develop and deliver annual safety training. Provide safety compliance knowledge and expertise to the organization. Educate and support employees in improving safety in their work area .

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Participate in the annual safety action plan to improve safety at Revere

+ Coordinate, create and deliver annual and periodic safety training in support of company and regulatory needs

+ Maintain a floor presence and create a safety resource for supervisors and employees, reinforcing safe work practices throughout the facility.

+ Work effectively with supervisors and employees to ensure risks are identified and managed to conclusion, including employee filed safety reports.

+ Report on safety training issues and data.

+ Support emergency preparedness efforts, including drills, response training, and regulatory compliance.

+ Stay current on safety best practices

+ Support new hire safety training (forklift, crane, LOTO etc)

+ Create and maintain safety documentation

+ Support other departments in the creation of safety documentation updates

+ Provide guidance to employees on LOTO best practices and documentation updates

Qualifications:

+ 3-5 years’ EHS experience in industrial or manufacturing setting.

+ Working knowledge of safety compliance.

+ Working knowledge of behavior-based safety concepts and practices.

+ Familiar with training concepts, experienced safety trainer.

+ Strong organizational skills to manage and effectively implement priorities in terms of safety solutions.

+ Demonstrated ability to build trust and respect with employees

Special Demands:

+ While performing the duties of this job, will be regularly exposed to work near mechanical parts.

+ May be exposed to wet or humid conditions.

+ May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

+ May be regularly exposed to high noise environments.

+ May be exposed to extremely dusty environments.

Education / Training:

Minimum

+ Associate's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Preferred

+ Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Foundation in behavioral safety

Certifications :

+ OSHA 30-Hour or 10-Hour Certification (General Industry or Construction)

+ Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

+ Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)

+ First Aid/CPR/AED Trainer certification

+ Train-the-Trainer credentials

Schedule:

+ Monday to Friday

+ Emergency Response as needed
