Job Title: Data Center Decommissioning Technician

Job Type: Full-Time, Contract

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Job Summary:

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Decommissioning Technicians to support ongoing decom projects across multiple data center campuses. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in data center environments who are looking to grow their careers in IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Perform rack and stack operations for hardware installation and removal

+ Execute decommissioning tasks including hardware disassembly and asset tagging

+ Support hardware troubleshooting and break/fix ticket resolution

+ Assist with equipment deployment and inventory management

+ Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate project completion

Qualifications:

+ Previous experience in a data center environment preferred

+ Familiarity with decommissioning processes and hardware handling

+ Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and hardware components

+ IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, etc.) are a plus

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

Additional Information:

+ Initial work location is Ashburn, VA

+ Team will later be distributed across Sterling and Manassas campuses

+ Contract expected to extend up to 12 months based on performance and project needs

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
