    Director of Lending Operations

    Overview

    The Director of Lending Operations will lead and optimize the Underwriting, Processing, Setup Desk, Closing, and Post-Closing teams to deliver a seamless, client-focused mortgage experience. This strategic leader will drive operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement to support the company’s mission to modernize the mortgage industry.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Oversee all lending operations teams, setting clear goals and performance expectations.

    + Design and implement strategies to streamline workflows across underwriting, processing, and closing functions.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance technology adoption and ensure a smooth end-to-end lending experience.

    + Establish and monitor KPIs, quality assurance frameworks, and risk mitigation plans.

    + Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

    + Mentor and develop team members, promoting career growth and skill advancement.

    + Drive process improvements to reduce turnaround times and increase operational efficiency.

    + Present data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to leadership.

    Qualifications

    + 6+ years of experience in mortgage lending operations, including leadership of underwriting, processing, and closing teams.

    + Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.

    + Deep understanding of mortgage regulations, compliance standards, and operational best practices.

    + Strong analytical and communication skills with a focus on data-informed decision-making.

    + Must be willing to work onsite in Arizona; relocation compensation is available.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $300000.00 - $400000.00/yr.

     

    Benefits: On the first of the month, following a 30-day waiting period, IHL oers a full range ofbenefits for you and your qualified dependents outlined in the Employee Benefits Guide, subject tothe satisfaction of any eligibility requirements and subject to the terms of such benefit programs.
