    Job Description:

    Bank of America Merrill Lynch Capital Markets is seeking an experienced sales professional to join the Capital Markets Specialist organization. The position will primarily focus on the sales, marketing, and education of the Market linked Investments (structured notes) platform. The role will have combined sales desk and Mid-Atlantic territory coverage responsibilities. The position will also assist in the education of Capital Markets solutions to advisors.

     

    The Market Linked Investments team provides qualified investors with access to markets and investment strategies designed to meet their needs. The performance of these investments is based on the underlying assets to which the investment is linked. These assets can include fixed income, equities, foreign exchange, commodities, or a combination of these. The Market Linked Investments Sales Desk Specialist (SDS) supports the MLIS and the FA working towards the same objective.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Developing a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the Merrill Lynch Market Linked Investments platform

    • Supporting Financial Advisors in the appropriate recommendation and utilization of Capital Markets solutions, primarily Market-Linked Investments, via our internal sales desk in New York.

    • This role requires communicating with Financial Advisors and their team members daily to educate and inform them on all aspects of Market Linked Investments including underlying structures and indices, assisting in order entry, and support of the secondary market.

    • Creating and executing a business strategy that allows the candidate to work independently in their territory alongside local Wealth management leadership.

    • Staying current on all capital markets products and solutions

    • Contributing to other projects related to the sales and support of the capital markets business.

    Qualifications:

    • 3-5+ years of experience in financial industry

    • Travel regularly to territory coverage area (~35% of the time)

    • Previous experience supporting Financial Advisors

    • Strong communication and organizational skills

    • Ability to work well in a team atmosphere.

    • Self-motivated individual with a passion for Capital markets

    • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Marketing or Business Administration preferred

    • Series 7, 63, 65 or 66 licenses
