Senior Vice President of Data & Analytics, Emerging Technology and AI
The Senior Vice President of D&A and Emerging Technology is a strategic leader responsible for building and managing the data & analytics capabilities required by the business to make data-driven decisions and drive profitable growth, efficiency, and end-user satisfaction (both internal and external). The D&A team will operate with speed and agility to support both commercial and enterprise tech teams and deploy resources to assist product teams.
+ **Lead the set-up of an enterprise-wide D&A and AI team** , ensuring a smooth and efficient organization. Oversee the selection, implementation, and ongoing management of D&A technology and infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and performance. Implement and manage D&A resources, optimizing their focus & prioritization across different business needs and tech domains to maximize business impact and achieve economies of scale.
+ **Develop and execute a comprehensive D&A and Emerging Technology strategy** that aligns with ELC's business goals, prioritizing strategic initiatives to drive growth, innovation, and efficiency. Establish an Emerging Technology and AI strategy and oversee AI implementation efforts. Manage the appropriate budget, set performance metrics, and track ROI. Create and optimize data products and services to deliver business value. Continuously evaluate the D&A portfolio to ensure alignment with evolving needs.
+ **Champion a data-driven culture, promoting data-informed decision-making and problem-solving.** Empower employees through data literacy initiatives. Represent D&A and Emerging Technology at the executive level, communicating its value and impact. Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact and recommending strategic investments.
+ **Establish and responsible for robust enterprise data governance and data management framework** to ensure data quality, management and integrity throughout data lifecycle. Responsible for daily operations and governance of all master data domains. Champion compliance with data governance policies, privacy regulations, and ethical standards. Implement strong data security measures to protect sensitive information across the federated model.
+ **Recruit, develop, and retain top talent** in data science, data engineering, analytics, data management, and product management, while building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing data and analytics team. Bring leadership engagement across technology to provide guidance, and support; fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Mentor and develop high-potential team members for future leadership roles.
+ **Strategic External Partnership** : Engagement with technology vendors and strategic partners to evaluate and select D&A, Emerging Technology and AI platforms, tools, and services, negotiate contracts, and manage ongoing relationships. Build strong external relationships with industry partners, technology vendors, etc.
Qualifications

+ Proven track record of the ability to clearly articulate a compelling vision for the role of the D&A organization in achieving strategic business goals in rapidly changing business environments. Ensures data and analytics and emerging tech initiatives are tightly aligned with business strategies and priorities.
+ Exhibits industry thought leadership, maintaining awareness of industry trends and best practices, positioning the organization as a leader in data and analytics.
+ Excellent communicator, able to convey complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Demonstrated ability to balance simplification, completeness, and comprehensiveness.
People Leadership:
+ Builds strong relationships with executives and key stakeholders, effectively communicating the value of D&A and Emerging Technologies, securing buy-in for strategic initiatives. Fosters collaboration and alignment across functions to ensure efficient, effective integration of solutions.
+ Attracts and retains top talent. Empowers team members to take ownership and make decisions, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance. Mentors and develops future leaders within the data and analytics organization.
+ Leads and manages change effectively, ensuring successful adoption of new data and analytics initiatives.
Technical Expertise and Innovation:
+ Possesses a strong understanding of data concepts, analytics methodologies, and emerging technologies. Promotes D&A best practices both via direct management and via organizational design.
+ Experience implementation emerging technologies with a complex data infrastructure, delivering value to the commercial organization. Champions a culture of innovation, encouraging experimentation, embracing emerging technologies, and driving continuous improvement in data and analytics capabilities.
+ Builds strategic partnerships with external vendors, research institutions, and industry organizations to leverage external expertise and resources.
Transformation Leadership, Results Driven and Business Acumen:
+ Experience delivering large scale data transformations.
+ Understanding of consumer products and ability to connect technical expertise with commercial relevance.
+ Establishes ambitious goals, drives accountability, and delivers measurable results in D&A and emerging tech initiatives. Allocates resources strategically, balancing short-term needs with long-term investments in data and analytics capabilities.
+ Exhibits sound judgement with regards to risk and financial management.
