    Job Description:

    The Learning & Organizational Development Specialist I at the University of Florida plays a key role in advancing a culture of evidence-based, student-centered learning and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Policy & Planning Analyst III, the specialist is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the student evaluation system, and supporting various teaching and learning initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Oversee and manage the student evaluation system.

    + Assist in the administration and development of educational programs.

    + Support textbook adoption initiatives through data collection, reporting, and documentation

    + Develop and lead workshops, training sessions, and consulting support for faculty, staff, and administrators.

    + Collaborate with academic department leaders, individual faculty, and university partners to achieve university goals.

    + Maintain frequent communication with university administrators, faculty, and staff.

    + Ensure compliance with UF and government guidelines related to confidential data.

    + Utilize software tools such as Excel, Tableau, and Python to aid in various projects.

    + Adhere to university policies and federal/state privacy regulations.

    + Regularly meet with the supervisor to discuss progress and receive guidance.

     

    This position requires a proactive approach, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to enhancing educational outcomes at the University of Florida.

    Expected Salary:

    Up to $55,000 annually; commensurate with education and experience.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Master's degree in an appropriate area with two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and five years of relevant experience in higher education.

    + Proven experience managing complex initiatives.

    + Five years of experience working with faculty and staff in higher education environments.

    + Experience with Excel.

    + Experience with Tableau and/or Python.

    Preferred:

    + Exceptional ability to work independently with minimal supervision while being highly proactive.

    + Demonstrates independent thinking and adapts quickly to changing priorities.
