$73,200.00 - $122,000.00
This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.

Position Overview
The Benefits Specialist is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of group benefit programs across the Americas region, including taking the lead in our Canada and LATAM locations, and providing exceptional customer service to our employees. This position also partners with our wellbeing team to delivery impactful wellbeing events and education to our employees and manages our wellbeing platforms.
Principal Accountabilities
Leave of Absence
+ Main contact for any LOA questions and works directly with LOA vendor on all leave requests
+ Main contact for short term disability claims in Canada
+ Assist with LOA vendor implementation and remain first contact for ongoing cases
+ Track and submit Parental Leave Top Off payments
+ Manage LOA requests and returns in Workday
+ Manage State Disability requests and establish online filing ability
+ Work with HR Services to ensure compliance with applicable government regulations
Benefits
+ Be the Tier 2 escalation point for Advocacy and HR Services teams in relation to various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits
+ Resolve monthly healthcare discrepancies and make corrections with carrier representatives
+ Assist with content for benefit presentations (new hires, new interns, open enrollment)
+ Lead the benefits elements of compliance testing
+ Assist in development/updating of communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package
+ Manage all elements of benefits purchase orders and billing
+ Manage ongoing wellbeing initiatives, and liaise with the wellbeing champions to co-ordinate wellbeing events and communications across the Americas region
+ Own the Personify Health wellbeing app and account management, embedding this platform into everyday employee activities
+ Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes
+ Manage all elements of benefit renewals and open enrolment processes across Canada and LATAM
Important Working Relationships
It is important that the Benefits Analyst is comfortable interacting with employees of all levels and positions throughout the company. As a multi-national company, the role requires sensitivity to other perspectives and cultures.
The role reports to the Global Health Lifestyle and Wellbeing Director. Close working relationships with the wider Talent and Reward CoE, the People Services team, and the Global People Partnering Team are essential to provide a consistent and joined up approach to all activities.
Essential Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
+ Experienced in Workday Benefits Administration
+ Experienced in Oracle and Service-Now
+ Experienced in running wellbeing initiatives
+ Bi-lingual (Spanish essential, Portuguese optional)
+ Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and interface effectively at all levels of the organization
+ Project and change management skills with a demonstrated ability to plan, priorities, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
+ Strong operational communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
+ A flair for generating new ideas and driving change through new approaches
+ Strong sense of personal initiative and time management
Desirable Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
+ Three to five years of related benefits or employee benefits administration experience
+ Knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, PFL, PDL, Workers Comp, Military Leave, ERISA, HIPAA and applicable state and federal laws
+ Experienced in benefits platforms, ideally Benifex
+ Strong numeracy and analytics

Hybrid working
By default, employees are expected to be in their local AVEVA office three days a week, but some positions are fully office-based. Roles supporting particular customers or markets are sometimes remote.
